The Consumer Technology Association (CES) is an annual tech conference. It’s known to be the most influential tech event in the world, showcasing the latest emerging technologies.
The 2023 conference was held in Las Vegas, Nevada, from January 5th to 8th. It displayed some of the most exciting tech gadgets that will shape the future, which we will discuss in this article.
LG 97-inch Wireless OLED TV
The LG M3 Series 97-inch wireless OLED TV is an enormous TV that comes with innovative picture technology. Its huge size makes it one of the most exciting televisions to date.
It’s entirely wireless, meaning users will not need to hide or conceal wires behind their entertainment centers anymore. There are 77, 83, and 97-inch varieties set to release in 2023, ranging in price from $2,900 to $25,000.
Sony Project Leonardo
At this year’s conference, Sony introduced Project Leonardo, its first gaming hardware designed specifically for people with limited motor control. When you unbox the kit, you’ll notice two circular gamepads with swappable buttons, along with customizable inputs and third-party accessory ports.
It’s designed to work out of the box with the PlayStation 5 and can be paired with a DualSense for additional flexibility.
BMW i Vision Dee
Although it’s still only a concept and not a real car, the BMW i Vision Dee was one of the most impressive showcases at the CES 2023. It has a heads-up display (HUD), with confirmed availability in 2025 production cars.
The HUD uses the entire windshield as the display, instead of a traditional dashboard screen. This offers five levels of immersion, from the speedometer and navigation information, all the way to a completely virtual environment not intended for driving.
Schneider Smart Home System
The Schneider Smart Home System is a revolutionary product designed to save money through scheduled power. It controls the breakers, outlets, and switchers to prevent appliances from drawing power when they’re not needed.
The system can also schedule when electric vehicles charge, optimizing the timing for the lowest rate. It offers personalized and detailed control of energy consumption, without the homeowner having to unplug anything manually.
HTC Vive XR Elite VR Headset
The HTC Vive XR Elite is the latest version of HTC’s VR/AR headset. Attendees of the CES 2023 anticipate it will be their best product so far at a price point of $1,099.
This particular headset is unique because it has been shrunk down to normal glasses size. Instead of a bulky headset, users can wear something less than half the weight of the Quest Pro VR headset.
There’s also an added bonus for glasses-wearers. The dials on the side of the goggles can be adjusted in real-time to change the prescription of the lens, eliminating the need for real glasses underneath while using them.
Lenovo Yoga Book 9i
The Lenovo Yoga Book 9i is a laptop that’s designed to shake up modern laptop design by removing the traditional physical keyboard and adding two 13.3-inch OLED screens.
Although there are some issues that come with a dual-screen laptop, Lenovo has done an impressive job of addressing them with the Yoga Book 9i.
One of the most interesting things about this model is its hinge, which allows the laptop to be used in a variety of positions, from traditional laptop mode to tent mode and even a flat tablet mode. The hinge also houses a pen dock, which charges the included stylus when not in use.
The dual screens are both touchscreens, with the bottom screen doubling as a virtual keyboard or drawing pad. The keyboard itself takes some getting used to, but it’s surprisingly functional once you get the hang of it.
The top screen can be used for multitasking or as a larger display when watching videos or working on a project. Overall, it’s a unique and impressive piece of tech that offers a glimpse into the future of laptop design.
KEYi Loona
Loona is a robotic pet developed by KEYi, known for its adorable appearance and expressiveness. The robot is designed to scurry around living spaces without bumping into walls or falling off countertops. It’s equipped with various sensors that allow it to respond to voice, touch, and even gestures.
In addition to being a cute companion, Loona also serves as a home security bot and a STEM feature for kids. It comes with several entertaining games like satta disawar to keep users engaged and can be a perfect addition to any household.
